Definitions

Definition. E-Learning includes traditional or modern methods and techniques and by using the ICT technologies (multimedia processing and asynchronous or synchronous communication), leads the subjects that uses it, to gaining experience in understanding of knowledge and skills in an area of activity.

Definition. Educational software stands for any software product in any format (executable or not) that can be used on any computer and represents a subject, a theme, an experiment, a lesson, a course etc, being an alternative or the only solution towards traditional educational methods (blackboard, chalk, etc).

Basically, e-Learning offers the convenient and efficient access to the newest information and knowledge, new and efficient teaching, learning and evaluation knowledge’s methods, constant training and forming. In the same way, e-Learning is an alternative to constant education in nowadays’ or tomorrow’s informational society. The specific characteristics of e-Learning technologies bring new dimensions in education which can be complementary or alternative than traditional methods in education. These characteristics offer the possibility to organize on-line learning on subjects or themes, while traditional learning is organized on groups/ age classes.

TEACHER: active behavior in the education and training

Computer : Means of training a new vision of education, research and innovation.
 

Technology: mediator of quality education.
 

The students: active participants in their own learning.

 

NOTE:

If a classic hand-drawn by an author or authors of more specialized software in return for education can only be developed through the collaboration of authors: specialist teachers, IT specialists, psychologists, even students. Thus, lessons and courses will be attractive and useful to obtain the powers envisaged by the curricula.

• Acquiring knowledge about AEL platform (interactive lessons)
• Familiarizing students with information about the Romanian educational portal, offers online courses in Romania, Romanian projects in e-Learning

Training ability to design, implement and evaluate educational software and to select appropriate educational and technical resources and utilize them effectively.

2 - E-LEARNING PLATFORM: General, International Standards, the standard architecture of a platform of e-Learning, an organization of e-Learning platforms, Paradigm Free / Open Source Software (FOSS) e-Learning and Open Source Platform

3 - E-LEARNING IN ROMANIA: Overview; Romanian educational portals, AEL - native platform, integrated computer-assisted instruction, offers online courses in Romania, Romanian projects in e-Learning

4 - E-LEARNING ON THE WORLD: Courses and Web materials, distance education, educational programs

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS DEMONSTRATION: design, implementation and evaluation of educational software using the application: Asymetrix ToolBook II Assistant, Presentation of the steps needed to be monitored to achieve an ongoing interactive learning / training Review Catalogues object's Assistant; Linking "medium" variant, such as text, images, video and audio clips.
