¨ 1981-1985 Student at The University of Bucharest, The Faculty for Foreign Languages and Literatures, Specialization: Bulgarian and English Languages and Literatures;
¨ 1985 BA, Head of the Graduates; graduation paper: A Contrastive Analysis Between the Slavonic Original of “Neagoe Basarab’s Teachings to His Son Theodosie” and Its First Translation in Romanian;
¨ 1988 Final examination for qualified teacher;
¨ 1999 Doctor’s Degree in Philology; Thesis: Romanian Loans in Bulgarian Literary Language under the scientific guidance of Prof. PhD G. Mihaila, member of The Romanian Academy, Doctor Honoris Causa of The “Kliment Ohridski” University in Sofia, Bulgaria.

¨ 1995 - 2002 Reader. I hold courses on Contemporary Bulgarian Language, History of Bulgarian Language, Bulgarian Lexicology, Old Slavonic Language and Romanian Slavonic;
¨ 2002 - at present Assistant Professor; Courses on: Contemporary Bulgarian Language, Linguistic Contacts between Romanian and Bulgarian Languages, Bulgarian Dialects in Romania, Bulgarian History, Culture and Civilization, Bulgarian Lexicology, Historical Grammar of Bulgarian Language, History of Bulgarian Literary Language.

¨ Since 1987 Member of Asociaşia Slaviºtilor din Romania (The Association of the Specialists in Slav Languages and Literatures) affiliated to The International Committee of Slavicists;
¨ Since 1990 Secretary of the editorial staff of the academical revue “Romanoslavica”;
¨ 1992 - 2006 Secretary of the above mentioned Association;
¨ Since 2006 Vice-president of the above mentioned Association.
