The aim of the School is
to bring together young academics and university teachers from the NIS and
Europe, and to introduce them (under the guidance of internationally renowned
scholars) to several influential contemporary trends of historical research.
Of the two courses offered, Historical Anthropology will focus on methodological
issues, while the History of Household, Family and Kinship will demonstrate
the possibilities of applying new methods in teaching in this field. Different
forms of instruction and learning – lectures, seminars, discussion groups
and field trips – are intended to help the participants elaborate effective
devices of teaching these disciplines at their universities.
