The Summer School Sociology
of Ethno-Nationalism gathers young teachers, teaching researchers, and
post-graduates currently working in the higher educational institutions of
the region of Central Asia. The program of the School offers three courses:
Theoretical Definition and Advanced Study of Ethno-National Issues; Study
of Ethno-National Processes in the Region of Central Asia; Analysis of the
Historical and Traditional Sources of Ethno-National Relations in Central
Asia. The School emphasizes a sociological perspective in the study of the
phenomenon of ethno-nationalism and analyzes motivations, strategies and
processes of nation-building and inter-ethnic relations in the region of
Central Asia. The School aims to make a practical impact on developing relevant
programs and courses at the universities in the region by facilitating course
development group work among the participants during and following the School
with the guidance of recognized international experts.
