The Department of Cultural Anthropology and Communication is made up of political scientists, semioticians, anthropologists, social-psychologists and philologists, and offers students a background in social-political culture and in the instruments of rigorous research appropriate to various types of discourse which are needed by future journalists and professional communicators. It also provides courses to familiarise students with the character of French, British and American press and civilisation. This department co-ordinates the degree programme in public communication.
