The Centre of Arabian Studies (CAS) was founded in 1994 with the kind support of the then Rector of the University of Bucharest Emil Constatinescu, and the supprt of the Arab States' League, represented on the inauguration by Secretary General of the League Esmat Abdel MEGUID. The CAS which has been constantly enriched through donations and equipped with modern logistics: computers (including computers with software in Arabic - Arabsat), audio and visual equipment, xerox-copier etc.
