ACADEMIC POSITIONS AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
• October 2004 – present: Professor at “Stefan cel Mare” University, Suceava. M.A. classes in semiotics and mentalities.
• 2000-2004: Associate Professor at “Stefan cel Mare” University, Suceava. M.A. classes in semiotics, mentalities, mass media and publicity.
• 1993 – 2001: Part-time Associate Professor at Bucharest University, Department of English. M.A. classes in cultural studies, semiotics, and mentalities; undergraduate classes in American literature, American civilization, English literature in the 19th and 20th centuries.
• September 2002: Guest-professorship for teaching semiotics and cultural studies (intensive series of lectures: “Civilization through Music”) at the Early-Fall School of Semiotics of New Bulgarian University, Sofia.
• September 1997: Guest-professorship for teaching semiotics and cultural studies (intensive series of lectures: “The Fictional Language of A. Dumas – A Semiotic Approach” and “The Gastronomical Discourse – History, Mentalities, and Signs”) at the Early-Fall School of Semiotics of New Bulgarian University, Sofia.
• November 1993: Guest-professorship for teaching two intensive classes in semiotics and language philosophy (“New Directions in Semiotics and Literary Theory”, and “An Introduction in the Semiotics of Ch. S. Peirce”) at Perpignan University, France, within a D.E.A. programme;
