Quality Policy OF the University of Bucharest
-2008-2009-

THE UNIVERSITY OF BUCHAREST will consolidate its position in the top of the Romanian higher education institutions by:

• Continually improving the quality management system.
  
• Achieving the objectives established at the beginning of every year and analysing them annually.
  
• Creating an intellectual climate that is adequate for students' preparation, by facilitating the access to the present-day level of knowledge, through internationalizing the University of Bucharest and through recognizing and stimulating the students' performance according to their ability and effort.
  
• Continually improving the learning and teaching process through emphasizing the characteristics of the student-oriented education process.
  
• Correlating the study programmes with the involved parties' requirements.
  
• Instructing, training and developping the personnel within their profession and within the quality management field.
  

QUALITY OBJECTIVES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BUCHAREST
-2008-2009-

• To design, document and implement the QMS, until November 30th 2008.
  
• To obtain QMS certification according to SR EN ISO 9001:2001, until December 31st 2008.
  
• To issue explicit documents for the concept of student-oriented education, until June 30th 2009.
  
• To issue a plan for the internationalization of the education process (for each faculty), until March 30th 2009.
  
• To analyse the quality indicators included in the self-evaluation reports of the faculties, until February 15th 2009.
  
• All personnel must attend at least two courses related to their profession and to the quality management field.
  
• External assessment of the University of Bucharest, performed by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS).
