National and International Institutions Reader Raluca Radu and Reader Romina Surugiu, teachers at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies, University of Bucharest, are the coordinators of this guide for journalists. Media and contemporaneity represents one of the most durative disciplines taught during the first year at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies. The volume includes three parts: Romanian institutions (the Parliament, the Presidency, the Government, the Local Authorities, the Court), European institutions (the European Union, the European Parliament, the European Commission) and international institutions (the United Nations, NATO, OSCE, IMF and the World Bank). The texts were selected and elaborated by journalism teachers, law and political science teachers, journalists, but also by specialists that actually worked or are working in some of the institutions presented in the book.
