The degree in Translation, Interpretation and Terminology is the only one of its kind in Romania. It was introduced in 1992, with a curriculum based on those in use elsewhere in Europe (Paris, Geneva, Vienna), and operates within the English, French and German Departments.
Along with the fundamental disciplines (Cultural Studies, Contemporary Language), the curriculum includes specialised disciplines such as: Translation and Interpretation Theory, Consecutive Interpretation Technique, Language Specific to Economics and International Law, Introduction to Terminology and Databases etc.
The degree programme offers a solid preparation in translation, terminological research and interpretation, enabling graduates to find work with ease in these areas.
