The physics and environmental protection programme enables students to become specialists in the field of environmental physics, a priority area for contemporary society. Graduates may find work as meteorologists, seismologists, experts in environmental protection and researchers in the relevant research institutes.
In order to facilitate the access of graduates to the USA and European Community job market, the faculty offers two teaching groups in French (since 1992) and English (since 1994).
A new development in the Faculty of Physics, starting in the academic year 2000-2001, is the establishment of two three-year college programmes: the University College of Metrology and the University College of Physics and Computer-Aided Technologies.
