1. ENROLLMENT CONDITIONS.
The persons entitled to be enrolled in a doctoral program are the university graduates with a Bachelor and Master diploma.
The enrollment is made only after passing a preliminary examination.
Unfortunately not all Faculties can receive english speaking PhD students. Some of our Faculties (like the Faculty of Law) require that the potential PhD students who don't speak the Romanian language to follow up a 1 preparatory year for Romanian language first (within our University or elsewhere).
The period of the doctoral studies at the University of Bucharest is the following:
Both full time and the part time studies last for 3 years
That means:
a) 1 year for the examinations and reports (for both full-time and part time studies)
b) 2 years for research (for both full-time and part-time studies)
The dates stated are upon limit. There is no objection in finalizing the doctoral program before limit.
