Premierea rezultatelor cercetarii – articole Competitie 2014

 

A fost lansata competitia 2014 pentru Premierea rezultatelor cercetarii - articole subprogram finantat in cadrul Programului Resurse Umane al Planului National de Cercetare, Dezvoltare si Inovare (PNCDI II).

Prin acest instrument de finantare se doreste cresterea calitatii, a impactului si a vizibilitatii internationale a cercetarii romanesti prin recunoasterea si recompensarea rezultatelor semnificative publicate in reviste de prestigiu din fluxul stiintific principal international.

Competitia se adreseaza cercetatorilor afiliati unor institutii din Romania, autori de articole stiintifice publicate in reviste indexate de Thomson Reuters in Science Citation Index Expanded (Science), Social Sciences Citation Index (Social Sciences) sau Arts & Humanities Citation Index (Arts & Humanities).

Pentru premiile acordate din bugetul anului 2014 se primesc cereri de finantare in regim continuu, pana la data de 30 noiembrie 2014.

Cererile vor fi analizate si admise/respinse in ordinea primirii lor. Cererile admise vor fi platite in ordinea admiterii lor, in limita fondurilor disponibile, pana la epuizarea bugetului alocat anului 2014.

FINANTATOR: Unitatea Executiva pentru Finantarea Invatamantului Superior, a Cercetarii, Dezvoltarii si Inovarii (UEFISCDI)

ABSTRACT

In this project, we test the arclogite hypothesis against the arc-granulite residue paradigm. This hypothesis states that the majority of residues complementing large subduction-related arcs are dense garnet and pyroxene-rich assemblages and not granulites. The significance of this model is that eclogitic residues are prone to detach and sink into the deeper mantle, thus providing an elegant solution to the longstanding issue of how continental crust got distilled over time. We use rare eclogite facies xenolithic rocks from the modern Andes and the defunct equivalent arc in North America, as well as potentially similar rocks from two localities along the Tethyan collisional belt to determine their geochemical, isotopic, petrogenetic and chronologic relationships to the extensive volcanic and plutonic arc suites found at each locality, their depth of emplacement and physical properties.
